Using essential oils for hair care

Essential oils are everywhere. Just open up Instagram. You’ll see posts about using essential oils for improving your mood, fighting illness, and even cleaning your home. Even though they’re all the rage, you might still find yourself asking what essential oils are. Put simply, essential oils are oils that are extracted from plants. Oils like lavender and peppermint are popular, but even herbs like cilantro and basil have oils. These oils pack a powerful punch Why not harness that power for your own hair growth? Here are essential oils to add to your hair care routine.


Peppermint


Peppermint oil is so powerful that it can literally give you chills. Research shows that it might help stimulate hair growth. Massage the peppermint oil into your scalp on your wash day. Let it sit for five minutes or so, and then proceed with your normal wash day routine.

 

Tea Tree


Many of us are familiar with tea tree oils’ almost magical properties and its familiar tingle. Add tea tree oil into your favorite hair products for additional cleansing and an extra hair growth boost.

Clary sage oil strengthens hair while reducing the chance of breakage.  Pair it with your conditioner for impactful results.
